French Minister for Sport doesn't think Benzema will be selected

France's Minister for Sports, Patrick Kanner, believes that "the conditions have not currently been met" for Karim Benzema to return to the French national team.
"I think that upon signing an ethics charter to be a member of the French team you need to comply with certain conditions, and I don't think these conditions have been met in the case of Benzema", he explained in a statement to France's 'RTL' network. Kanner added: "Having said that, I will respect the position of the players and the president of the FFF. The selector wants to ensure France's best player is involved. That's his position".
