After losing their opener to Italy 2-0, Belgium have steadily improved with victories over the Republic of Ireland and Sweden to advance.

And in their first knockout game of the tournament the Red Devils looked like a team ranked second in the world by FIFA as they recorded a resounding 4-0 victory.

Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld opened the scoring before Michu Batshuayi tapped in to double the lead in the second half.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard then scored a superb solo effort for a third and Yannick Carrasco fired in the fourth in stoppage time.

Next up for Belgium is Wales and Manchester City star De Bruyne doesn't see why his Euro 2016 adventure needs to stop there.

"We created a lot of chances in the first half [against Hungary], but we weren't able to get the second goal.

"We said we needed to put more pressure on Hungary, and when we got the second it became much easier.

"[Against Wales] We'll need to play at the same level as we did [against Hungary].

"We are going to try to go all the way into the final, but we need to take things one game at a time."
