Spain boss Vincente del Bosque: I will not tinker for Italy clash

Current champions Spain saw their Euro 2016 hopes wobble when they threw away a lead to lose to Croatia in their final group game which pitched them against Italy in Lille.

But Del Bosque, who has already guided his country to World Cup and Euro Championship victories in the past, is in no mood to panic.

"We lost our World Cup opener against Switzerland in 2010 but we hardly changed anything afterwards," said Del Bosque.

"We played with the same players and in the same way, because it was the way we’d played that had got us there in the first place.

"We weren’t going to rip up our plans because of one defeat to Switzerland. So we kept going and we intend to do that this time round."

But the veteran has had to quell rumours that Manchester United keeper David De Gea was criticised in the dressing room for his performance against Croatia.

"It’s all lies," he said, with De Gea expected to keep his place.
