Northern Ireland today secured their first ever win at a European Championship, producing a heroic team effort to beat Ukraine 2-0.
However sad news was circulating on social media after a Northern Irish fan collapsed in the stands 80 minutes into the historic victory.
The fan was confirmed to have passed away an hour after the game amidst reports that medics attempted and failed to resuscitate the fan at the back of the Northern Ireland stand.
Second Northern Irish death at Euro 2016
Aged 64, reports suggest the fan suffered a heart attack and he has sadly become the second fatality amongst the huge number of travelling Irish supporters in France this summer.
25-year-old Northern Irishman Darren Rodgers fell 26 feet onto a rocky beach in Nice hours after their opening match defeat to Poland.
Fans paid their respects to Darren Rodgers in the 24th minute of today's 2-0 win with a touching flag tribute and a moving minute's applause.
Our thoughts go out to the families and friends of the two supporters.
