The Premier League season is now over, but most of the stars will still be restless as competitions like the Copa America and the Euro 2016 have already started. Many of the players will be with their national sides and will want to impress at the top level. The stars will be well aware of the importance of this competition and the impact that their performances in the tournament can have on the upcoming season.

With that said and done, all the players from every side competing at the moment in France will want to take their side to the finals, with their best possible showing.

Here is a squad of the best Premier League XI featuring in the Euro 2016 tournament, based on more or less the form that they showed last term:

Goalkeeper:

Though David de Gea was involved in some controversy prior to the start of the tournament, he was one of the best keepers in the top flight of English football for Manchester United, if not the best. Week in and week out the Spanish international has been producing some of the best goal-keeping displays, which has helped him beat the likes of Thibaut Courtois and Hugo Lloris, to earn a place in this side.

Defence:

In front of the Spaniard will feature a four man defence, with Frenchman Laurent Koscielny and Belgian international Toby Alderweireld at the center, who have been superb for Arsenal and Spurs in recent times respectively. On the right will be Koscielny’s Gunners’ team-mate Hector Bellerin, who has been one of the best in his position and plays for Spain. On the other side, will feature Danny Rose who also plays for Tottenham and represents The Three Lions. His team-mate Luke Shaw, who started really brightly had a major set-back due to his long-time injury, which kept him out for most of the season.

Midfield:

In front of the defensive line will feature Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante, who was superb for Claudio Ranieri’s side in the previous campaign and helped them lift the Premier League title. His performances were good enough to catch the attention of the top clubs in England and he was picked for the French national side. In front of him on the left, will feature his compatriot Anthony Martial, who made a huge impact in his debut season for the Red Devils. To his right will start Mesut Ozil of Germany, who has been the assist king for Arsenal this season and Tottenham’s Dele Alli, representing England. Unfortunately Dimitri Payet and Kevin de Bruyne do not make it to the squad.

Attack:

Two out of the three competitors for the Golden Boot award will feature in the attack. Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy scored 25 and 24 goals respectively in the league last term, which will make it impossible for them to be left out of this side. Further, one man who misses out despite a decent form last term and superb recent form is Frenchman Olivier Giroud, who just can’t stop scoring at the moment.
