UEFA President Michel Platini unveiled the logo and visual identity for UEFA EURO 2016 in Paris on Wednesday.

It encompasses everything that everyone participating in this EURO is dreaming about: it is the trophy, it is the trophy that each club, each team, each player wants to win. "It is a great occasion for France to show itself. Well, everyone knows France already, and France is already a great tourist destination. But with the EURO, I think it gives to France something special, for the all country, and also for French football."

"I think is it a good representation of an event which will be in France in 2016. A trophy because it's a European competition with 24 teams engaged. The blue, white and red colours is a nice signification that this 'Euro' is in France. And also the festive aspect that France want to demonstrate."

"French football has needed this event (EURO 2016). As you know the European championships last only one month, then afterwards the stadiums will remain in the cities for French football. This is a something very important for French football and I find that the costs are not excessive for the construction of stadiums and this is something good for this moment."
