"Of course the overriding feeling is of huge disappointment, it's hard to lose a final like that, and you have to accept it. I congratulate Portugal; they are the newly crowned European Champions. Clearly we had our chances, we had our last opportunity with Gignac hitting the post in stoppage time, we were not clinical enough, we were not cool headed enough, perhaps we lacked a bit of freshness although I can't criticise my players - they gave everything tonight. It really came down to very fine margins but unfortunately we lacked something, it's hard to accept it but we have to digest this. All of us."
