Loew: Germany deserved to win
2016-07-09 00:42:00 from:SNTVGermany head coach Joachim Loew gave his verdict on Thursday (7th July) following his side's 2-0 semi-final loss to France at Euro 2016. Loew also insisted he will take time to consider his future in charge.
SOUNDBITE: (German) Joachim Loew, Germany head coach (on the match):
"There weren't too many things that went wrong. I must give a great compliment to the team. We were the better side. We invested a lot, we had a good body language of power. We were good in the one-on-one. We played forward. It was unfortunate that we conceded a ball to touch the hand and then concede a penalty one minute before half time. Of course we had our chances. Regretfully we didn't score. Today we didn't have the luck that we needed but in 2012 or 2010 when we went out, the sides were better than us. Today that wasn't the case. We were the better than the French but the goals and the result (went against us)."
SOUNDBITE: (German) Joachim Loew, Germany head coach (on his future):
"Well not tonight. I can't predict that. I can't even predict things from tomorrow. I'm still disappointed so I won't think about that tonight."
