2016-06-27 08:33:00 from:SNTVItaly head coach Antonio Conte and captain Gianluigi Buffon spoke ahead of Monday's (27th June) meeting between Spain and Italy, a repeat of the 2012 European Championship final in Kiev.
SOUNDBITE (Italian) Antonio Conte, Italy head coach: (On if Italy can beat Spain)
"Nothing is impossible otherwise everything would be too easy. We would be able to forecast things anytime the odds were against something. You would take essence away from life."
"We don't want to go home, the players don't want to go home. Tomorrow if we are going to be knocked out by Spain, the Spanish will have to prove they deserved it on the pitch. In that case I'll congratulate them for proving they were strongest."
SOUNDBITE (Italian) Gianluigi Buffon, Italy captain: (On if he plans to continue playing until the next 2018 World Cup)
"My idea is to continue my career for another two years and play at my highest level like I am now. If my highest level pleases the new head coach then I will be happy to continue in the Italian national team."
