Hungary determined to keep Portugal out
2016-06-22 08:05:00 from:SNTVHungary may be leading Group F with four points, but with a final match against Portugal to come on Wednesday, everything is still to play for.
A 2-0 win over Austria, followed by a 1-1 draw with Iceland has taken Bernd Storck's side to the summit of the group, but they could still finish in 3rd place.
Forward, Gergo Lovrencsics says his side won't let first place slip through their fingers though.
SOUNDBITE: (Hungarian) Gergo Lovrencsics, Hungary forward (Q: How do you see the match against Portugal? Do you think you will be relax cause you are already qualified for next round?)
"This is a good question. Tomorrow's game is going to be an important game whether we're qualified or not. We don't want to be third in the group. We've got four points from the first two games so I think we can play well against this Portuguese team. For myself, and I think I can speak on behalf of the team, we don't want this first place to slip through our fingers."
Lovrencsics added that it was huge motivation to play against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, despite Portugal having a disappointing tournament so far.
They've been held to draws by both Iceland and Austria, with Ronaldo missing a penalty in the latter of those two games.
Iceland will face Austria in the other Group F game on Wednesday, and with four of the third placed teams across all the groups still progressing, Group F remains wide open.
