Euro 2016 : Focus on Sweden
2016-06-19 03:35:00 from:SNTVA day after losing 1-0 to Italy, Sweden remain hopeful of qualifying for the knockout stage at Euro 2016.
Defender Martin Olson believes his team has been unlucky.
SOUNDBITE: (English) John Guidetti, Sweden forward:
"It was a tough game. It was two teams that did it very well, defensively. We played against Italy which is one of the really good sides in the world. They're a fantastic team and they showed it against Belgium who is ranked number two in the world. I think Italy had a far superior side at that game, but we do it good. They didn't have as much chances against us as they did against Belgium. They got very frustrated. We had more ball possession than them. We kept the ball better than them. We just need to make sure that we come to those really really dangerous chances and make sure that when we get the opportunity we hit the target."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Martin Olsson, Sweden defender:
"I think defensively we are being strong but I think offensively we can get more shots at goal. We have the players for it, we've just been a bit unlucky and, you know, hopefully it will change against Belgium."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Andreas Graqvist, Sweden:
"Of course we're very disappointed with the result. Last minute goal. I think we made quite a good game against a very strong team. I mean, now against Belgium, we need to get three points to get to the next round so I think we're quite positive. We know it's going to be a very difficult game but of course, we're going to do everything we can."
