Three Russian fans jailed for Euro violence

Three Russian football fans have been handed jail sentences for their part in the violent clashes in Marseille that have tarnished Euro 2016.
The sentences were passed on Thursday (16th June) as France cracks down on Russia following serious clashes with English fans in the city of Marseille.
Among the three men charged is Alexei Erunov, who works in fan relations for Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow. He received two years in prison on charges of group violence during a sports event and involvement in a group created to plan violence against people or property.
The other two Russians were jailed for 12 months and 18-months respectively.
France also announced on Thursday that around 20 Russian fans will be deported due to their part in the violence.
