Sanches- Portugal were a little nervous
2016-06-17 01:53:00 from:SNTVPortugal were held to a surprise 1-1 draw by Iceland in their Group F opening game and talented 18 year old Renato Sanches described Portugual as "a little nervous" but remains upbeat over their chances of progress to the knockout stage.
SOUNDBITE: (Portugese) Renato Sanches, Portugal midfielder:
"It was 20 minutes, not a great 20 minutes because I wasn't too much in the game. I just touched the ball a few times. Also it was the first game and we were a little nervous. In this 20 minutes that I played I think I was normal."
If Portugal were to finish third in Group F they could face the likes of Germany or Spain in the round-of-16 but Sanches insists there's no one Portugal fear.

"There are so many teams that are favourites - Germany, France and Spain, even Portugal, because we dream with that in mind and if we go to play against Germany, yes, we don't fear anything. But whether it's special or not, it has no difference for us."
Sanches didn't start against Iceland, a decision that has been questioned by some in the Portuguese media.

"I feel great like I already said, if I have the opportunity (to play) I'm going to do my best. I think everyone has his opinion, but here the coach is Fernando Santos and the final decision is from him. So I give my best and if he thinks I can play, I play."
Next up for Portugal is Austria, a team fancied to impress at this tournament, but who fell to a shock 2-0 defeat to neighbours Hungary in their opening game.
