Northern Ireland supporters condemn fan violence and react with disappointment at French interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve's plans to restrict alcohol sales at Euro 2016 (13th June).

With the violent scenes in Marseille surrounding the England Russia game, French interior minister has called for alcohol free cities.

Northern Irish fans believe that would diminish the fun of the tournament.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Gordon Jamison, Northern Ireland fan: (Q: What do you think about the alcohol ban?)

"I can see where is coming from but alcohol is part of having a day of 'craic' (fun good time). I am from Northern Ireland, we are only over here to watch the football and have a few beers and have a bit of fun and a bit of a craic. The violence once it erupts, we totally condemn it. We abhor it. We have no time for it. See, I've travelled 1300 miles. Violence to do with alcohol and football? No. It makes me sad. It makes me sad."

For one bar owner in Nice he believes banning alcohol would be over-the-top.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Dermot Mulhall, manager of Irish Pub 'Ma Nolan’s':

"So, banning alcohol throughout all of the business that manage their premises properly, we would not be quite happy, put it that way. We have quite a large selection of security, we have professional barmen, professional floor staff who are career bar tenders, who are able to see any trouble that might be coming. they are able to serve customers quickly. Keep order and control. So, for those like us and premises like us and our neighbours around us, we find that we should be able to manage the situation ourselves."

Northern Ireland and their fans the party continues in Lyon on Thursday - a must win game before facing Germany.
