Zlatan Ibrahimovic hinted that Manchester United may be his next club as Sweden held a news conference at the Stade de France on Sunday (12th June) ahead of their opening game of Euro 2016 against the Republic of Ireland.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sweden captain (asked to react to Ireland assistant coach Roy Keane's opinion that he would fit in
well at Manchester United):
"I take it as a compliment because if a player like Roy Keane speaks it means.... he has been in the game, he knows what he is talking about, so I just take it as a compliment and.... for me, in Manchester there is nothing to say. I feel happy for the moment. What (the) future will be, you will know soon and let's see what happens. I enjoy football and wherever I come, wherever I go I will still be the same person and I will still enjoy (myself)."

SOUNDBITE: (Swedish) Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sweden captain (asked for his opinion on violence in Marseille):

"I know France very well. I've played here for four years. What happened yesterday with the riots in the stands didn't look good. What I'm hoping for is enjoyment for the fans, so what happened is not allowed to happen again."

SOUNDBITE: (Swedish) Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sweden captain (asked which side will be favourites in the game against the Republic of Ireland):

"I think it's going to be a difficult game. It's fifty-fifty as to who is the favourite. We have to fight hard. Let's see what happens. It doesn't matter what we sit here and talk about. Before the game it doesn't matter, it's all about the 90 minutes tomorrow."

SOUNDBITE: (Swedish) Erik Hamren, Sweden coach (On getting their Euro 2016 campaign underway):

"Our preparation has been good. The whole squad has trained in France and are looking good. We are ready and we respect Ireland. We know all about their strengths and qualities, but we're ready for them. We're really looking forward to the game."
