Iceland confident of progression - Lagerback
2016-06-12 23:52:00 from:SNTVIceland coach Lars Lagerback believes his side have a good chance of progressing out of the group stages at Euro 2016 if they play to their full potential.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Lars Lagerback, Iceland coach:
"Yes, as I always said, I mean, I always think you have a realistic chance in football and I think with these guys and what they have done before. If we are performing as we should do I think we have a really good chance to go on from the group stage. So, I think that is quite possible. If you look at the first game now, I mean, you always say of course that is a good way to have a good start in the finals when it is only three matches in the group stage, but as we will play the, I would call them the big favourite in the group, if you look upon the earlier results. So, I think we can handle a loss against them also. So, it is difficult to say, I mean, normally the first game is a lot of a key match, but I don't think this time. But depending on the first result then we know how important it is coming to the second and the third. So, it is very difficult to say. I mean everybody speaks about Hungary as a key game, but I mean Hungary is not a bad team either. It is about taking points in all three matches I think."
