Sestak warns Bale: 'Playing Slovakia is a punishment'
2016-06-10 15:07:00 from:SNTVSlovakian striker Stanislas Sestak on Thursday (9th June) warned Wales' Gareth Bale that playing against Martin Skrtel and Jan Durica "is like a punishment" and added ahead of their Euro 2016 clash "as a teammate I can tell that they're very rough in contact this is for sure. And when you're playing against them it's worse".
SOUNDBITE: (Slovakian) Stanislas Sestak, Slovakia striker
(Q: For whom is it going to be harder - Gareth Bale or your defence?)
"Gareth Bale is obviously an extraordinary player. But I think that to play against (Martin) Skrtel and (Jan) Durica is like a punishment. As a teammate I can tell that they're very rough in contact this is for sure. And when you're playing against them it's worse."
SOUNDBITE: (Slovakian) Stanislas Sestak, Slovakia striker:
(Q: Stanislas you played against Wales in Ternava in 2007 when Wales beat you home 5-2 in European qualifier?)
"I remember this very well, it was a huge loss for us, but we gave them one own goal. I remember also that we had won 5-1 in Cardiff. So that is balancing the two results. But now I hope that this time luck will be on our side."
SOUNDBITE: (Slovakian) Milan Skriniar, Slovakia defender
(Q: Do you think like Wales is not only about Gareth Bale? )
"It's not all only about Bale but it's true that he's one of the best players in the world now. We played a very defensive team in our last friendly game before the Euros against Northern Ireland, but I don't think Wales are going to play this way. Wales are going to play more in counter attack because of Gareth Bale and others strikers."
