Maradona faces Pele in Friendship Match

They are considered the two best footballers to have graced the planet.
But that continuous competition has meant they have never managed to become the best of friends.
Until now...
Diego Maradona and Pele put aside their rivalry to come together for the Match of Friendship that saw various other former stars turn out.
Angelo Peruzzi, Rio Ferdinand, Ciro Ferrara and Clarence Seedorf were among those featured in the kickabout.
While Pele's health meant he wasn't able to take part in the match itself, Maradona did make his return.
The Argentinian netted twice, once from the spot to give his side a 7-6 lead, before putting the ball into his own net to ensure the match ended in a 7-7 draw.
An amicable ending to the Friendship Match between of football's greatest figures.
