Smalling on injury, England and security concerns
2016-06-09 15:46:00 from:SNTVSOUNDBITE (English) Chris Smalling, England defender (asked about his knee):
"There's no injury scare there. It's normal. I often ice different parts of body or jump in the ice bath so it's just normal recovery process to be ready for the next day so no worries there."
SOUNDBITE (English) Chris Smalling, England defender (asked how far England can go in France):
"I think we're a confident bunch and obviously we're a very young squad. I think it's a case where we don't necessarily set targets. Let's go out there and take on the games as they are and I think there's a lot of a fearless factor so who knows where we can go."
SOUNDBITE (English) Chris Smalling, England defender (asked if he has security concerns at Euro 2016):
"No, we haven't. Obviously you read what's in the media and some of the news but we're very much just focussed on the football side and we've got a fantastic security team and we've been informed of all the French security as well so from our point of view we have nothing to worry about and we can focus on what we're here for and that's the football."
SOUNDBITE (English): Alastair Cook, England captain (On the view in the England camp to Amir's return)
"Yeah we haven't really spoken about it as a group but he was punished and quite rightly so, but he has served his time and he should be allowed to come back and play because that was the punishment he was given at that time"
