Switzerland trained on Tuesday (7th June) ahead of their Euro 2016 opener against Albania on Saturday (11th June).

The Swiss national squad arrived in Montpellier on Monday ahead of the start of their Euro 2016 campaign.

The team trained at Montpellier's Stade de la mosson in temperatures exeeding 30 degrees celcius in the South of France.

Among those training was Stoke City's Xherdan Shaqiri and Watford midfielder Valon Behrami

Vladimir Petkovic's side have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts France, Romania and Albania, after finishing second in their qualifying group behind England.

Their base camp is in Juvignac, a small town a few kilometres north-west of Montpellier.

Switerzerland come up against Albania in their first match of the tournament in Lens on Saturday.

There is no doubt the side will be hoping to get off to a good start against an Albania side ranked 42nd in the FIFA world rankings.

But defender Francois Moubandje believes it won't be an easy match "Our goal is to go as far as possible, it would be a great honour to reach the quarter-finals as Switzerland has never made it that far. What's important for our team is to start with a good match, and against Albania it is going to be a complicated match, not easy at all. It's up to us to pass this test."

Switzerland play Romania and then France is their last game of the group stage.
