Fabianski: "It's a tough group"
2016-05-18 11:34:00 from:SNTVPoland will look to star striker Robert Lewandowski to fire them out of the Euro 2016 group stages in which they will face Germany having famously beaten their neighbours in the qualifiers
SOUNDBITE: (English) Lukasz Fabianski, Poland goalkeeper:
"Well, it's a tough group, for sure. It's funny to be playing again against Germany and Ukraine because we played against them in the previous qualifiers for the World Cup so it's funny we will be playing against them again. Then Northern Ireland as well, it's a tough opponent. Again like some similarities because we played against Scotland and the Republic of Ireland in the qualifying group as well so it's like teams we more or less know what to expect. Tough group, I think basically any of the teams in this group has a chance to go through to the next round so it will be difficult but hopefully we'll manage to do it."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Lukasz Fabianski, Poland goalkeeper (on playing Germany):
"It's a special game because...I don't know, if you look at our history it means something more to the fans than just a pure game. Then again, you know, because we beat them like recently for the first time ever in the history of Polish football so that means we don't have to fear anything from them. We are able to get a result against them so that will be a special game. Then again, it will be played, I think, in Paris in the biggest stadium so I think that UEFA looked at it as well as something more than just another group game so, yeah, that will be something special for sure. And hopefully we'll make it even more more special."
