Kosovo was given UEFA membership on Tuesday (3rd May) and could now be fast-tracked into FIFA and the 2018 World Cup qualifying program.

"I would like to start by thanking Karen Espelund for the magnificent job that she has done at UEFA. I not only refer to women's football - what she has done for women's football in UEFA - she was the first female member on the executive committee. Karen has done a great job. We need to keep her in the football family and the UEFA family. Regarding Florence (Hardouin), I know her from the time she was marketing director before she becomes general director of the French FA. We have always had very good cooperation. I very much look forward to her bringing a fresh (view) to the executive committee. I just wish that we could and we should probably have both."
