Hiddink refuses to talk about Terry

2016-04-02 11:31:00 from:SNTV

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink on Friday (1st April) refused to be drawn on the prospect of John Terry making an unlikely England return in time for the 2016 European Championship.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Guus Hiddink, Chelsea manager (Q: Do you think John Terry has something to offer England, could you see him playing at the European Championships this summer?)

"Well I think it's a bit over-valued whether they had a conversation, yes or no... but there was no issue for either of them I think. But John is doing his job for Chelsea and decided already one or two or three years ago not to be available anymore for England, whatever the reason might be."

Q: So you think there is no chance of him at all of him changing his mind?

"I don't know, you can ask him, but I don't know. What I know is that he likes to play football."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Guus Hiddink, Chelsea manager (Q: Do you expect a response from the Aston VIlla players with a change of manager?)

"I expect that tomorrow yeah, I expect that tomorrow. I saw parts of their last game, of Aston Villa, with their old manager. They were playing with ambition, I think that was the last game before the (international) break, it was an away game, was it at Swansea? Whatever the game was, I have seen parts of that and there the team looked very fresh and they were playing with a lot of ambition and even now when there is a change, there is automatically always a reaction. So we can expect an entertaining game I think tomorrow."
