Russia's football head coach, Leonid Slutsky, suggested that Russia will believe in their chances of winning Euro 2016. Russia were training in Moscow ahead of a friendly with Lithuania.

"A trophy would be good, better even several of them, but it's difficult to predict such things. I can only say these standard words that we'll do our best to perform at our maximum at the European Championship and will be well prepared for this tournament."

"We're preparing for tomorrow's game with Lithuania and I can just say that playing in Paris is special and footballers don't get many matches like that in their career. But I'll be ready to speak about this in detail before the match in France."

"We're sure that the hosting side (France) will do everything to ensure security. I personally think so and even though I haven't discussed this with all our players, I don't hear them speaking about this (security fears). It seems to me that we are all sure that the security services will work effectively."
