The Netherlands prepared for their international friendly with France on Thursday (24th March) - it will be an emotionally-charged occasion after the passing of Dutch great Johan Cruyff on the eve of Friday's game.

The Netherlands squad were deep in preparations on Thursday (24th March) ahead of the visit of France on Friday (25th March) for an international friendly match.

The Dutch dramatically failed to qualify for this summer's European Championships that are taking place in France.

The host nation will be looking to build up some momentum as the Euro's move ever closer.

Whilst Danny Blind's Dutch team will be aiming to win back some of the pride that was severely dented during the woeful qualifying campaign.

The game will be played in the shadow of Dutch legend Johan Cruyff, who sadly passed away on Thursday (24th March) following a battle with lung cancer.

Cruyff won 48 caps for his nation and scored 33 goals for the Netherlands, leading his country to a runners-up medal in the 1974 World Cup.
