Belgium v Portugal rescheduled after Brussels attacks
2016-03-24 11:02:00 from:SNTVBelgium's international friendly against Portugal next week has been moved to the Portuguese city of Leiria, from Brussels, because of the deadly attacks in the Belgian capital - the Belgian Football Federation reached agreement with its Portuguese counterpart on Wednesday hours after the Belgians called off the match, and it has been rescheduled for next Tuesday as Portugal prepares for Friday's visit of Bulgaria.

"No doubt it is a sad situation, we all feel what is happening in Belgium but in what concerns the match (against Belgium) - surely that the Portuguese Federation and the Belgium Federation will reach an understanding and we will have to wait and see what will happen. Above all, I would like to stress how sad this situation is but we now have to focus on our first match (against Bulgaria)."

"It is with sadness that we watched the attacks that happen yesterday (in Brussels) but as Joao said the right people are working to ensure the security around the matches in the European Championship. Also, in what concerns the match against Belgium the Federations and the authorities responsible are discussing this matter and so we are sure they will find the best solution"

"We are not favourites but above all, we dream and truly believe that it is possible (to win the tournament) due to the way we qualified- and the quality of our players and also due to the quality of our captain (Cristiano Ronaldo). So, yes we have high expectations, although not being considered favourites and we really believe the title is a possibility."
