SuggestedLeadIn: Northern Ireland cautiously eye first major tournament appearance for the 'Green-and-White Army' since 1986 - as they take on Greece in Euro 2016 qualifier on Thursday.

Script: SOUNDBITE: (English) Steven Davis, captain - Northern Ireland:

"Yeah I think it is hard to sum up in words really. What would it mean? We are so close yet so far at this point in time but we have put ourselves in a great position with hard work and obviously being disciplined in games and also quality. So it is just about showing that again and hopefully we can get over the line tomorrow."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Michael O'Neill, manager - Northern Ireland:

"Well as tomorrow night is obviously hugely important...we have outlined to the players and Steven (Davis) has talked to the players and we have outlined to the players all week that you know, if we have to go to the 90th minute on Sunday night we are prepared to do that. We have prepared the team with that in mind, we have to be able to..if for some reason the result isn't what we want tomorrow night - we have to recover and be ready to play again on Sunday. I think that's a big challenge and that is how we have to prepare and I think that we get two bites at this, which is a nice position to be in. Obviously we want to be sure we can do this at the first attempt."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Steven Davis, captain - Northern Ireland:

"Yeah without doubt there is huge significance of the result obviously. We would have loved to have done it against Hungary but football isn't always that easy and we know that with Northern Ireland but it is going to be a tight game. The Greeks have got a lot of quality and you can see that with the number of players they had playing in the Champions League midweek there. So they are not to be underestimated. It is going to be a tight game and we just have to go out and do what we have done previously so we can get the win."
