"The script that we had prepared when we got together last Wednesday or Tuesday is what happened. I think we've solved the problems the Slovakians posed us, we moved the ball quickly very well, we dealt with their counter attacks on a couple of occasions, and we did what we had to do. I think that certainly we played more football and created more chances, be sure of that. But very happy with the game. Regarding Gerard, well, I think it's unfortunate, the behaviour of people here in Asturias is fantastic, but those who boo a player in the Spanish national team, it's very unpleasant."

"We were worried because their game was going to be to not leave us space, to have lots of people behind the ball, to stay close together in defence. And I think we did well to break them down from the first move, the move for Jordi Alba's goal was magnificent, and I think that gave us the chance to manage the game better, including them almost, almost, not attacking but coming forward more and that helped us play more comfortably. We played well."
