Wales aiming to make history

LEAD IN:

Wales trained in Cardiff ahead Sunday's Euro 2016 Group B qualifier with Israel

Script:

Wales take on Israel at Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday, and there's a lot at stake.

Manager Chris Coleman has seen his side to three points clear at the top of Group B. His qualification campaign for the 2016 European Championships has been hard fought, but the team has produced the goods.

Not since 1958 has a Wales side reached the finals of a major championship. It's a tantilising prospect and after winning first leg ties against Andorra, Belgium, Israel and most recently Cyprus - the side is on the verge of something quite special.

There's no doubt who's the star of the show, but Gareth Bale has admitted the humidity in Cyprus took its toll during the hard-fought 1-0 victory on Thursday.

With Bale scoring 6 of Wales' 9 goals in qualification, the side will need their Real Madrid star to produce the goods once again.

The side are now within three points of reaching next year's finals in France - and creating their very own piece of history.
