"I'm pleased, really pleased and the reason is being because you can only ask players to perform, you've heard me saying this before and they have performed. Occasions in the first half today you think, 'Well...' but overall the performances, I think we should all be delighted with these performances."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Gordon Strachan, Scotland manager (on Shaun Maloney)
"All I know is a very good player scored a wonderful goal again so for all the systems and all that you're talking about, a very good player has got us a point. And a very good player 10 minutes from the end who is no taller than me is back at the right-back position heading the ball away from McClean and he's the most conscious of football players I've ever come across and deserves everything he gets and every praise he gets. So if any young football player wants to watch somebody, its him."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Gordon Strachan, Scotland manager
"What an intense game of football, what an occasion. To get that intensity in June is ridiculous after players playing that amount of games. It's quite phenomenal, and I think the intensity came with both teams desperate to win and desperate when they've not got the ball to not lose."
