SOUNDBITE: Roy Hodgson, England coach
"I congratulate him, just like I had the pleasure of congratulating Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard. It's quite incredible that during my watch as England manager I can congratulate four players for playing 100 times for England. I'm delighted it's Wayne's turn tomorrow..."
SOUNDBITE: Roy Hodgson, England coach
"Any player form me that has played 100 times for England, and I'd even go further than that, I think you can take the number of caps down to 75 if you wanted. All players for them, for me, deserve the epithet 'great'.
SOUNDBITE: Wayne Rooney, England captain
"It is always a great honour to play for England and something I want to carry on doing for a lot more years, so... I think the ultimate goal - I've always said this - is to win trophies and it's something that we're working towards doing and, you know, to get 100 caps and join the players who have done that is a great honour for me and something I'm extremely proud of."
SOUNDBITE: Wayne Rooney, England captain
"I'm looking forward to playing a lot more games for England and obviously, if selected, I will always join up with the squad and be available to play, so it's something I love doing and I'll continue to do as long as (I'm) selected."
SOUNDBITE: Wayne Rooney, England captain
"As a young boy it was always a dream to play at Wembley and to go out at Wembley and receive the cap, particularly from (Sir) Bobby Charlton, will be a special moment, with you know, as much of a sell-out or nearly a sell-out (crowd), will be an incredible feeling and a special moment for me."
