SOUNDBITE: (English) Ireland coach Martin O'Neill
"It was obviously a great point for us, to come to the home of the world champions from a few months ago and get something out of the game. Obviously, we had to withstand a bit of pressure, but we knew that. Our idea was to try and thwart them, to try and use the ball a bit better when we had it in the first half. That's still very, very difficult. But at half-time we were reasonably okay. They scored a goal in the second half which from their point of view was a great goal - we should have closed it down a couple of times - and then what was the point of losing the game if you can't really try and go for it? That's what we did. There's always a chance that they can score a second goal. but it was just a fantastic effort by the team."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Ireland defender John O'Shea
"yeah look, to do with anything...the night in question, the amount of caps I had achieved and to do it in the last minute against Germany away from home is very very special. The lads were trying to jump all over me and I was trying to know them off and enjoy the moment with the fans. Look, it is one of those things, my celebrations always need a bit of work so I don't score enough to improve them."
SOUNDBITE: (German) Germany coach Joachim Loew
"It's extremely disappointing for us to not to have won this game and that Ireland drew with just one chance in the last second of the match. But I think it is our own fault as we stopped controlling the game in the last minutes, the last five or six minutes."
