Germany and Scotland are preparing to face off in the opening Euro 2016 qualifier in Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park on Sunday.

Mario Gomez and Marco Reus have both returned to the Germany squad since missing this summer's World Cup triumph in Brazil.

Jerome Boateng is likely to feature in defence for the World champions after he missed Wednesday's friendly against Argentina.

The repeat of the summer's final was in fact Germany's first match since beating the albiceleste 1-0 in extra time.

This time around, Argentina proved to be too much for the Germans as they ran out 4-2 winners in Dusseldorf.

Joachim Low will be without key midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger against Scoltand, whereas Darren Fletcher is back and will captain his country for the first time in almost two years.

Russell Martin on the other hand is likely to miss the opener after he missed Scotland's training session with a groin strain.

Elsewhere in the group, Poland face Gibraltar and the Republic of Ireland travel to Georgia.
