Cristiano Ronaldo hits back at Jose Mourinho’s claim he “didn’t help” Portugal from the dugout during the Euro 2016 final
Sunday, August 07, 2016 Source: squawka.comReal Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has hit back at claims from Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho that he “didn’t help in anyway” during Portugal‘s Euro 2016 final win over France last month.
Mourinho was less than impressed with how Ronaldo conducted himself during the closing stages of an historical 1-0 win for their country and voiced his displeasure when addressing the media on Friday.
The Manchester United manager said: “Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t help in any way by doing that in the final few minutes of the Euros final.”
However, Ronaldo has responded by taking a subtle dig at his former manager by posting a picture on his official Twitter account with the caption that reads: “Quick remind” accompanied with an arrow pointing upwards.
The pair’s relationship appears to have deteriorated even further following comments from the ‘special one’ in regards to the 31-year-old’s antics on the sidelines in the final.
