Wales' fairytale Euro 2016 campaign drew to a close on Wednesday (6th July) after a thrilling four weeks in which they surpassed the wildest expectations of their fans.

SOUNDBITE (English): Chris Coleman, Wales manager

"I can't tell you how proud I am. I am as proud of this team, prouder of this team, than any team I have ever been involved in because I know what they have sacrificed to get to this stage. And when you give so much then you can't give no more. The results are going to be what they are going to be. But I think they will probably end up going back to Cardiff to a nice welcome. And they deserve that."

SOUNDBITE (English): Chris Coleman, Wales manager

"We sometimes have to look at the opposition and say that it is not just the reason that we did not 'hit all the right notes', because the opposition played very well and did good things. But I would find it very difficult to say to any of our lads "I could have got a bit more out of you" or "we could have done a bit more tonight." I just think whatever they had left, they left it out there (meaning, they gave everything). It came up short, we came up short tonight. It won't be the last time that it happens but with this bunch, predominantly, they don't come up short. That is why they are where they are. But I can't say I am disappointed with any of them - it would be ludicrous of me to criticise any one of them. I think they have been fantastic."
