Germany trained in Evian-les-Bains on Wednesday (6th July) ahead of their Euro 2016 semi-final with France on Thursday (7th July).

Germany continued preparations for their Euro 2016 semi-final against France with a training session in Evian-les-Bains on Wednesday.

The world champions reached the final four courtesy of a dramatic penalty shootout win over Italy.

Joachim Loew's side have on occasion looked impressive in this European Championship, but they have failed to reach the standards they set in capturing the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.

France produced a blistering first-half performance to beat Iceland 5-2 in their quarter-final, and striker Antoine Griezmann is in ruthless form.

History, though, seems to favour Germany as France are without a major tournament win over their European rivals since 1958.

Germany are without both striker Mario Gomez and midfielder Sami Khedira due to injury.

Veteran Bastian Schweinsteiger also remains a doubt following a blow to his right knee, but the midfielder did train on Wednesday.

Portugal face Wales in the other semi-final in the competition.
