Wales manager Chris Coleman says he is looking forward to seeing Ronaldo and Bale play against each other when Wales face Portugal in the semi-finals of Euro 2016 on Wednesday (6th July) in Lyon.

Wales take on Portugal in Lyon on Wednesday with a place in the final of Euro 2016 the reward for the winner.

It is the first time in history the Welsh national team has reached the last four of a major tournament.

Much attention will be on Wales' star Gareth Bale who will be up against his Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo and Wales manager Chris Coleman is looking forward to seeing both players at their best.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Chris Coleman, Wales manager (asked about facing Cristiano Ronaldo):

"With all his talent, he has the mentality to go with it. Same as our boy Balo (Gareth Bale), he's got natural talent and he's got the attitude to go with it - to want to get better, to live his life right. And he just wants to get better and better. I remember him at Manchester United when I was at Fulham as a manager. I think he scored in the last minute in one game, they beat us 2-1 where really we were fine and he did something out of the ordinary, went on a mazy run, unstoppable. You remember things like that, you remember great pieces of play from great individuals. And they've got one of them and we've got one. So I think it will be interesting tomorrow."

Coleman has also said that the Welsh team spirit on show is the result of many years of hard work and days of when a semi-final of a major tournament was a distant memory.

SOUNDBITE (English) Chris Coleman, Wales manager (on Wales' team spirit):

"All this, where we find ourselves now, it hasn't happened overnight you know, the players and the bonds that they have together, that togetherness. That's not just because we're having a great tournament. It's easy now to say that we've got good team spirit. Everybody's got good team spirit on a shiny day when you're winning. It hasn't always been the case for us. All that team spirit you see - that's real, but that that came from the darker days where it wasn't so easy for us and Balo (Gareth Bale) is exactly the same as the rest of the players in that."

The winners will face either France or Germany in Sunday's final at the Stade de France.
