Portugal defender Pepe missed training on Monday as the team trained ahead of their Euro 2016 semi-final against Wales.

Portugal will meet Wales in Lyon on Wednesday in the first semi-final of Euro 2016.

The Portuguese have made it to the semi-finals in four of the last five European Championships, while the Welsh are in the last four of a major tournament for the first time.

Pepe missed Portugal's training session in Marcoussis on Monday due a thigh injury.

It remains to be seen whether the defender will be available to play against Wales.

Remarkably, Portugal are yet to win a match within 90 minutes at Euro 2016 having drawn all three group games and both knockout games being tied at full time.

Fernando Santos' side needed extra time to defeat Croatia 1-0 in the round of 16 before beating Poland on penalties in their quarter-final.

Portugal are hoping to make it back to the final of a European Championship for the first time since 2004, when they hosted the competition but lost to Greece in the final match.
