Oliver Giroud gave his thoughts on France's 5-2 win over Iceland on Sunday in the Euro 2016 quarter-finals.
France head coach Didier Deschamps described semi-final opponents Germany as "the best side in Europe" and insisted his side won't just settle for a place in the last four at Euro 2016 following their 5-2 quarter-final victory over Iceland on Sunday.

SOUNDBITE: (French) Oliver Giroud, France forward (Q: Is that your best match in a France shirt?)

"I don't know if it is my best performance, I have played some other good games but in a major tournament with Euro 2012 and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil that is perhaps my best performance. I felt really good physically right from the start of match, we are used to making bad starts to matches and we were able to change that and that's good going forward. We need to retain that. We were on top right from the first few minutes and we were very clinical, so that is nicer. From a personal perspective it is good as well and I am scoring as well."

SOUNDBITE: (French) Oliver Giroud, France forward (On semi-final opponents Germany)

"As I said it will be a completely different match, they're the World Champions and are often in the last four of major tournaments. It will be a great match. We have a lot of desire to get our own back for what happened in the (2014) World Cup. We have already beaten them here in a friendly match, we won 2-0, but it will be a completely different game. With the surroundings that we are familiar with in Marseille. As I said I hope the French public are as excitable in the stadium as they were tonight and I hope they will support us all the way. We are lucky enough to play a European Championship semi-final in front of a home crowd and from my perspective I am very proud of what this French side is achieving and I hope once again we'll come out again with the right result."
