"It's been a fantastic journey for me the last four and half years, all the support we have got from who I have met around Iceland and at all the games it has been absolutely fantastic, it's something extra this tournament with all the fans coming here and all positive feelings from back home, and all the interest. I feel it deep it in my heart. I didn't enjoy the first 45 minutes today, but apart from that I enjoyed each minute I spent in Iceland and together with the team, so it's been a privilege to take part in this journey."

"The first half here looked like the second playoff we had against Croatia in the World Cup (qualifying, Iceland lost to Croatia). We didn't handle it well mentally, but we showed in the second half it wasn't something physical in the team, we reloaded and did everything so that wasn't the problem. In these types of matches when you are close to something bigger you have to learn from it, so I think the last impression from this tournament is to learn from what we did. I think we learned from the Croatian game and I think this was a good reminder if you play at this level you have to have the right attitude every second. The higher you come then the more important it is. But if you have a few days - if you look at the whole tournament, as a newcomer to reach the quarter-finals it has been absolutely fantastic."
