'We are the underdogs' - Coleman

2016-06-28 01:28:00 from:SNTV

In Dinard, France, on Monday (27th June), manager Chris Coleman looked ahead to Wales' Euro 2016 quarter final against Belgium.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Chris Coleman, Wales Coach (on facing Belgium):

"What our team has done very very well is step up. When there has been a big challenge they've stepped up to that. Belgium have been here before in the quarter final of a major tournament and we haven't. So it's new for us. We are the underdogs in this game. We are the underdogs. They'll be expected to win. Because they're expected to win most games with the players they've got. But football isn't like that. It's not like that at all. So another big challenge for us, it's another great challenge to be involved in and obviously we're looking forward to it."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Chris Coleman, Wales coach (on the mood within the squad):

"Let's just enjoy it while we're here. Like we have been enjoying it. But we've been enjoying it because we have been competing. We've been competing in a way where we believe that we should compete. And that's important that identity that we've got we try to stick to it. And that's been important. And I think that is why we've got a good vibe around the camp still. It's exciting. And they're looking forward to this next one coming up."
