Marc Wilmots says Belgium are tageting a quarter-final spot, as they trained on the eve of their round of 16 clash against Hungary on Sunday at the Stade de Toulouse.

Tipped among the pre-tournament favourites, Belgium 's squad is packed full with enough class to be the envy of many teams at Eurro 2016.

After a slow start marked by a 2-0 defeat to Italy, Marc Wilmots' side recovered to beat Ireland and Sweden to finish second in Group E. And the Belgium boss is aware of the high expectation levels for his side to progress in France.

SOUNDBITE (French) Marc Wilmots, Belgium coach: (On whether it will considered be a failure if Belgium will not reach at least the semifinals)

"Somebody else will say that for me, our goal is just to go as far as we can. It's normal they say you're favourite when you're among the best five-six national teams, it's logical, I don't have a problem about that. We have our game, we'll play our game, we'll play forward, we're dominant, as we've often been, we're aggressive. We'll do everhing we can to reach the quarterfinals, then we'll se what will happen."

Wilmots talem=nted squad face a Hungary side who have been one of the surprise packages of the tournament, winning Group F after beating Austria and drawing with Iceland and Portugal, but Belgium are favourites to reach the quarter-finals at the second major tournament in a row.

SOUNDBITE (Flemish) Marc Wilmots, Belgium coach:

"First of all we have to control the ball, we have to tire them and we'll try to create match-ups in the last thirty metres, they're very compact in defence, so we'll have to be very patient and play really fast, this is very important. We have tried very hard in the last game, and Hungarians as well will fight until the very end."

While Hungary are playing at their first major tournament since the 1986 World Cup, Belgium have the class to win Euro 2016 with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard at their disposal.

A close game is expected when their last 16 clash gets underway at the Stade Municipal in Toulouse on Sunday
