2016-06-25 00:47:00 from:SNTV

Italy trained on Friday (24th June) ahead of their highly anticipated Round of 16 clash against defending champions Spain in the European Championship.

Italy will take on defending champions Spain in a mouth-watering last 16 clash at Euro 2016.

Italy won their Group E after beating Belgium and Sweden. The Azzurri then lost 1-0 to Ireland in a 'dead rubber' to finish the group stage.

Coach Antonio Conte will likely have Antonio Candreva available for the Spain match.

The Lazio midfielder trained for a second day in a row after being out with a hamstring problem since the match against Sweden.

Spain's late loss to Croatia on Tuesday dropped Vicente del Bosque's team down to the runner-up slot in Group D - lining up the clash with Italy.

Not only are Spain the title-holders - they beat Italy 4-0 in the Euro 2012 final.

The winner of their match will play either Germany or Slovakia.

Italy will play Spain at the Stade de France in Saint Denis on Monday.
