Euro 2016 focus on Germany

2016-06-18 07:13:00 from:SNTV

Germany on Friday (17th June) trained at the Stade Camille-Fournier near their Euro 2016 team base camp in Evian-les-Bains, one day after their goalless draw against Poland in Paris - and ahead of their final Group C game against Northern Ireland on Tuesday.

There was no time for Germany to rest - they were back on the pitch the day after their gaolless draw against Poland in Paris.

The starting eleven from that game on Thursday were not seen training actively on the pitch.

Centre back Jerome Boateng did not take part in the session at all, and apparently recovered in the team hotel.

The draw might even have ended in defeat had Poland forward Arkadiusz Milik not wasted two good chances in the second half, and
Jerome Boateng not produced a crucial block to deny Bayern Munich teammate Robert Lewandowski.

Joachim Loew's men had started well against Ukraine, comfortably and convincingly winning 2-0.

But the Northern Irish - the supposed minnows of Group C - equalled that achievement.

The Germans must be wary of opponents who are likely to play with little pressure on their shoulders as they go on the hunt for giant-killing glory.
