2016-06-18 04:03:00 from:SNTV

Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has always been prepared to step up to wear the number one shirt for Poland following Wojciech Szczesny's injury, Poland play their final Euro 2016 Group C match against Ukraine in Marseilles on Tuesday.

SOUNDBITE (Polish) Lukasz Fabianski, Poland goalkeeper:

(Q. You were not the Coach's top choice for goalkeeper but following (Wojciech) Szczesny's injury, you played last night. Do you think it was fate?)

"I don't know if fate is trying to make it up to me. My attitude has always been the same: work hard, be prepared, respectively of what is the situation and circumstances. I believe it's all the hard work that is paying back."

SOUNDBITE (Polish) Hubert Malowiejski, Poland assistant coach:

(Q: How are you preparing ahead of the match with Ukraine where they will be fighting for their last chance for points?)

"We know what players they have, we know what line-up they have. This might be a face-saving match for Ukraine so we might be more alert but we will be playing our game. We are prepared to face the best of what Ukraine has to show in a couple days. We know Konoplyanka from Seville. so we're expecting a very difficult match. We will be prepared for any scenario for any players. Even if they make ten substitutions, we will be prepared for that."

SOUNDBITE (Polish) Hubert Malowiejski, Poland assistant coach:

"The quality of the Ukrainian footballers is much higher than what they've shown in some of the previous matches. Both against Germany and Northern Ireland, they shown some good passes, good moves - especially the game against Germany. When it comes to our match, we need to be prepared to face the Ukraine from the qualifying groups and not Ukraine from the tournament"
