Lagerback: 'Perhaps Ronaldo was jealous we took a point'

Iceland on Wednesday (15th June) reflected on their 1-1 draw with Portugal in Group F at Euro 2016.

Script: SOUNDBITE: (English) Lars Lagerback, Iceland coach (on Cristiano Ronaldo's complaints after yesterday's game):

"Yeah. I think he was disappointed. Maybe he was a little bit jealous that we took one point from them. So, I mean when people are disappointed I don't think you should take so much that into consideration because if they don't do anything really ugly and if he would have walked off not shaking the hand or if you say some words in disappointment, I don't mind that. For me it is more important that everybody is doing a professional job out on the pitch."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Lars Lagerback, Iceland coach (on the mood within the team after Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Portugal):

"Yeah, of course it was. I would call it some kind of calm happiness. I mean they were rather tired and it took some hours before we left St. Etienne. So, it was a lot of things going on after the game of course, but a very calm happiness I would say. It wasn't any big party going on. I think we were back around 3 o'clock, so they were pretty satisfied to be back in their rooms."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Lars Lagerback, Iceland coach (on the team's aim now):

"Yeah. Nothing has changed after this match. I mean the goal, if you call it a goal, we always try to win every game. We always wanted to of course go on from the group stage. And nothing has changed about that. I still think we have about the same realistic chance to go on, but of course one point against the big favourite in the group is a good start for us."
