Members of the Sweden squad gave their verdicts on Tuesday (14th June) following their 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland in their Euro 2016 opener on Monday (13th June).

SOUNDBITE (English) Erik Johansson, Sweden defender:

"We're not really satisfied with the first half from our point of view. But in the second half, we performed better football and we forced them to play low and we got some chances to finish off the game."

SOUNDBITE (English) Victor Nilsson Linderlof, Sweden defender:

"Of course we wanted three points and we got one so..... but like I said to the other guys here, we didn't play so good and it's football sometimes. But of course we wanted to play better football and get the three points."

SOUNDBITE (English) Oscar Lewicki, Sweden midfielder:

"They got the game where they wanted. I think we got a little bit stuck in their game plan. They made it very difficult for us, but I think after their goal we started playing better and move up our positions in the field so we could get better pressure on them. And eventually we got the goal as well. The form is absolutely going upwards."
