Boateng wary of Polish attacking threat

2016-06-16 06:05:00 from:SNTV

Germany defenders Jerome Boateng, Shkodran Mustafi and forward Lukas Podolski spoke on Tuesday (14th April) ahead of their side's upcoming Euro 2016 group game against Poland.

SOUNDBITE: (German) Jerome Boateng, Germany defender (on facing Poland):

"First of all, I think it is important for us to win the second game, too. I think we know Poland quite well. We have played against them in the qualification. Both games weren't easy for us. Poland is a good and strong opponent. However, if we succeed in playing our (own) game, I look positively ahead to this game and I think that we have a chance to win. But we must be careful. They have good and strong attacking players and not only (Robert) Lewandowski."

SOUNDBITE (German) Shkodran Mustafi, Germany defender (on his performance and goal in the first game 1 against Ukraine and on the upcoming match against Poland)

"So, during a tournament like this there is of course not much time left to enjoy (his goal) and that is why I have already said immediately after the game that one must make use of the little time one has and that one must not only enjoy that I have scored a goal, but also that we have managed to take the three points with us from there. But since yesterday we are again focused on the next game. You only have a few days in between and you must regenerate. And from today on, the preparation certainly begins again and we will have training sessions. So, there is no more time left to enjoy, but we now only prepare for the upcoming game."
