Police and rowdy football fans clashed at Marseille's Old Port for the second successive day on Friday (10th June).

Fans again clashed with riot police at Marseille's Old Port on Friday, with officers firing tear gas in an attempt to disperse supporters a day after England fans fought with locals.

The skirmishes on Friday came despite heavy police presence.

England will play Russia at the European Championship in the Mediterranean port city's Stade Velodrome on Saturday.

There were no immediate reports of injuries nor arrests.

Earlier on Friday, the English Football Association issued a statement expressing disappointment at Thursday night's violence and urging supporters "to act in a respectful manner and enjoy the match against Russia."
