Switzerland trained on Wednesday ahead of their Euro 2016 opener against Albania on Saturday.

The Swiss team trained on Wednesday morning at the Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier, two days before travelling to Lens to play their Euro 2016 opener against Albania.

For the past two decades Switzerland have failed to advance from any European Championship group.

This year though, in their fourth appearance at the Euros, the team are currently ranked 20th in the World and are looking to reach the Round of 16 for the first time.

Two years ago they reached the last 16 in the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, losing 1-0 to Argentina only after extra time.

They'll be hoping to get off to the perfect start against Albania who are ranked 22 places lower in the FIFA world rankings.

With the likes of Watford's Valon Behrami and Stoke City's Xherdan Shaqiri, Vladimir Petkovic's side have plenty of quality to advance to the Round of 16.

Group A rivals and tournament hosts France face Romania in the opening match on Friday at the Stade de France, while Switzerland take on Albania on Saturday.
